寶源投資可能暫停認購Schroder Alternative Solutions Agriculture Fund

Dear Distributors,
Re: Potential Hard Closure of Schroder Alternative Solutions Agriculture FundPlease note that Schroder Alternative Solutions Agriculture Fund will soon be hard closed once the fund size reaches US$5 billion.We have received continued big inflows over the last couple of months and the fund size now has surpassed US$4.3 billion.Currently, we are not allowing any new distributors to invest into the fund and will only accept subscriptions from existing distributors on a “first come, first serve basis” until the fund reaches US$5 billion.Once we hard-close the fund, we will not be able to accept any new subscriptions until further notice. Based on current daily flows (US$50-60 million) the fund appears likely to reach US$5 billion within the first quarter of 2008. We will monitor the situation and provide updates as to the remaining capacity as and when we receive verified data about the fund's asset under management.Even though liquidity in the Agricultural markets has risen significantly in the past 6-12 months - the capacity of the main Agriculture futures markets has increased from around US$140 billion to about $200 billion - we have decided to hard close the fund at US$5 billion. We believe that this action is necessary to ensure that the fund's ability to achieve its performance objectives are not compromised by its size.Please note that this soft-closure (and potential hard-closure in the near future) doesn't effect the Schroder Alternative Solutions Commodity fund - we see no constraint on capacity in the foreseeable future for our broader commodity play that has reached now about US$1.9 billion. We will review the capacity when the portfolio reaches around US$5 billionWe are very grateful for the tremendous support given to our commodities capability and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the potential hard-close of the Schroder Alternative Solutions Agriculture fund.

其實近月大家都知去街市買野樣樣貴，好多consultant都suggest我買此類fund, 但我無買，現時可能因太多人買，為保障基金經理有效運作，達到好表現，所以可能要暫停被認購．個人認為投資此種行業基金係要看潮流，低潮流有幾長就吾知，但當diversification就無問題．
